Getting the Drills Ready for Seeding!
In today's video, I will show you how our seeding drills work because my Dad is taking them apart to make repairs in the shop. Well, the drills aren't in the shop but the parts he is repairing are. We get a quick look at our shop cat too. She is not very camera-friendly today! Seeding in Montana is not a simulation. It is the real deal and we have thousands of acres to seed. We are going to start planting Spring Wheat in the fields pretty soon. It is important that all our equipment is working properly to save time from break downs and plug-ups. The seed and the fertilizer get mixed together and after tons and tons of the mix go through the hoses and drills they need to be replaced. I will show you how our air-seeder drills work too. We have to do everything on a large scale under the big sky of Montana in order to get all the acreage planted. We have to get the semi-truck running today too to make sure the battery is charged and ready to go. The views today are beautiful even though it is a bit cloudy. The temperatures are warming up too and that is very encouraging! I hope you enjoy this little shop repair video! Thank you so much for watching and remember to support your local farmers! Buy local!!!

My Story…
Hello. My name is Kate Stephens, and I am a 16-year-old 4th generation farmer. My family has been farming wheat in north-central Montana since my great grandfather immigrated from Denmark in 1912 and homesteaded our land. My family has been teaching me about farming since I was two years old. I run one of the combines on the farm at harvest. I believe that it is important for everyone to know where their food comes from and the families who produce it. I love our farm, and I hope that my Farm to Fashion and Farm to Table products can help educate people about where their food comes from in a fun way. That is how Kate's Ag became a reality. I hope you love my products as much as I do because this is an extension of our farm and the grains we have been growing to feed other families for over one hundred years.
